Terms
Last updated
These terms cover your use of the Cargocat public beta. Installing or using the software means you accept them.
The public beta
The beta is provided without charge and does not require an account or license key. It is pre-release software: features may change, and defects may remain. Keep backups and begin with a read-only connection or data you can recover.
You may install and use the beta on computers you own or control. You may not resell it, present it as your own product, circumvent its security controls, or redistribute a modified build.
Future paid licenses
No paid license is currently required or offered through this website. When sales open, the price, refund policy and license terms shown at checkout will apply to that purchase. Those terms will not apply retroactively to use of the free beta.
Your data and your provider
Cargocat acts on the storage you point it at, using credentials you supply. You are responsible for those credentials, for their permissions and for the operations you perform. Deleting objects, changing lifecycle rules and aborting multipart uploads can be irreversible at the provider. We cannot recover data a provider has removed. Provider charges for requests, transfer and storage remain between you and that provider.
Warranty
Cargocat is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it is free of defects or that it will meet your requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or storage costs arising from use of the software.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
