Beta and licensing

What the unrestricted public beta includes, and what changes when paid licenses become available.

The public beta

The current beta is free and unrestricted. It needs no account, payment, license key or online activation. Download it, install it, and connect your own storage.

After the beta

The stable release uses a $14.99 one-time founding license rather than a subscription. Before buying, you can try the complete app for 14 days without an account or payment card. A founding license includes:

  • lifetime use on every supported desktop platform under one personal license;
  • every provider preset and feature;
  • free future updates;
  • personal and commercial use on computers you personally use;
  • a 14-day refund window.

Beta builds do not ask for a key. Licensing and the trial begin with the first stable release. Sales remain closed until the production signing key and the complete purchase, activation and refund flow have been tested.

Feedback during the beta

Start with a read-only connection and data you can recover. If something does not behave as documented, contact support with your operating system, storage provider and what you were trying to do.
